Islamicate Futures: Knowledge, Ethics, and Muslim Societies
Authors who publish with Islamicate Futures: Knowledge, Ethics, and Muslim Societies retain the copyright of their published work and grant the journal the right of first publication. The published article will be distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, reproduction, and adaptation in any medium or format, provided that the original author(s), article title, journal name, volume, issue, year of publication, DOI or URL, and license information are properly cited.
By submitting a manuscript to Islamicate Futures: Knowledge, Ethics, and Muslim Societies, the author(s) confirm that the submitted work is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The author(s) also confirm that they have full authority to grant publication rights to the journal and that the manuscript does not infringe upon the copyright, intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or moral rights of any third party.
The journal allows authors to retain publishing rights without restriction. Authors are permitted to archive, deposit, distribute, and share the submitted version, accepted version, and published version of their article through institutional repositories, personal websites, academic networking platforms, research databases, and other lawful scholarly communication channels, provided that proper citation to the published version in Islamicate Futures: Knowledge, Ethics, and Muslim Societies is included.

The journal is not responsible for any legal claims arising from the unauthorized use of copyrighted materials by the author(s).
The author(s) retain moral rights over their work, including the right to be properly identified as the author(s) of the article and the right to object to any distortion, misrepresentation, or misuse of the published work that may harm their scholarly reputation or intellectual integrity.
The journal, editorial board, and publisher may reproduce, distribute, preserve, index, archive, and promote published articles through official journal platforms, indexing databases, academic repositories, abstracting services, digital libraries, scholarly search engines, and other channels intended to increase academic visibility, citation impact, and long-term preservation.
