Islamicate Futures: Knowledge, Ethics, and Muslim Societies provides immediate open access to all published articles. The journal is committed to the principle that scholarly research should be freely available to the public in order to support global knowledge exchange, academic collaboration, citation visibility, and the advancement of Islamic and Islamicate studies.

All articles published in this journal are freely accessible without subscription fees, registration barriers, access charges, or download fees. Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts, and use the published articles for lawful academic and non-commercial purposes, provided that proper citation is given to the original author(s) and source.

The journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, users are allowed to share, copy, redistribute, adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the published work in any medium or format, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), the article title, journal name, volume, issue, year of publication, DOI or URL, and license information.

Authors who publish with Islamicate Futures: Knowledge, Ethics, and Muslim Societies retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Authors are also permitted to deposit and share the submitted version, accepted version, and published version of their articles in institutional repositories, personal websites, academic networks, research databases, and other scholarly platforms, provided that the published version in this journal is properly cited.
