Focus and Scupe
Tsiqah: Jurnal Studi Hadis dan Tradisi Kenabian is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing critical, methodological, and interdisciplinary scholarship in Hadith studies and Prophetic traditions. The journal seeks to develop a distinctive scholarly platform that connects classical Hadith sciences with contemporary debates on knowledge transmission, religious authority, digital transformation, ethical life, and Muslim social practices, particularly within Southeast Asian and global Muslim contexts.
The journal’s main focus is not limited to the preservation and interpretation of Hadith texts, but extends to the study of how Prophetic traditions are authenticated, transmitted, interpreted, institutionalized, contested, and lived across different historical, intellectual, and social settings. Tsiqah gives special attention to the relationship between textual authority and lived religious practice, between classical methods of Hadith criticism and modern academic inquiry, and between Prophetic normativity and contemporary Muslim public life.
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
1. Classical Hadith Sciences and Methodology
2. Hadith Interpretation and Prophetic Normativity
3. Living Hadith and Muslim Social Practice
