The journal particularly emphasizes the study of āyāt al-aḥkām (Qur’anic legal verses), tafsīr studies, uṣūl al-fiqh, maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, legal hermeneutics, comparative legal interpretation, manuscript studies, and interdisciplinary approaches to Qur’anic law. JQLSE encourages innovative research that integrates traditional Islamic scholarship with contemporary academic methodologies and engages critically with global scholarly debates.
JQLSE welcomes contributions from scholars, researchers, academics, and practitioners from around the world whose works demonstrate analytical rigor, methodological clarity, theoretical contribution, and relevance to contemporary discussions in Islamic studies and legal interpretation. The journal aims to contribute significantly to the development of international scholarship in Qur’anic legal studies by promoting academically grounded, globally relevant, and intellectually transformative research. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and scholarly integrity.
