Theme: Qur’anic Legal Hermeneutics and Contemporary Global Challenges
Journal of Qur’anic Legal Studies and Exegesis invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit original manuscripts for Volume 1, No. 2, December 2026.
This issue prioritizes critical scholarship examining the transformation of Qur’anic legal interpretation in response to contemporary global challenges. Relevant topics include environmental ethics, contextual approaches to Qur’anic law, artificial intelligence and digital society, comparative legal hermeneutics, human rights, and emerging socio-legal issues. Priority will be given to manuscripts that directly engage with the main theme of this issue.
In addition to the main theme, the journal also welcomes manuscripts addressing other topics related to Islamic law, Qur’anic interpretation, and the legal, ethical, and social dynamics of Islam and Muslim societies.
Submissions must present original research based on conceptual or theoretical, historical, textual, comparative, or empirical studies. Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches are particularly encouraged.
Manuscripts must be written in academic English and will undergo editorial screening and a double-blind peer-review process.
