The Journal of Interdisciplinary Qur’anic Studies (JIQS) focuses on advancing rigorous research on the Qur’an through interdisciplinary approaches. The journal aims to bridge classical Islamic scholarship (turāth) with contemporary academic perspectives, encouraging critical, analytical, and contextual studies of the Qur’an in relation to modern intellectual and societal developments.

Scope
JIQS publishes original research articles and review papers in the following areas:

  • Qur’anic exegesis (tafsīr), including classical, modern, and thematic approaches
  • Interdisciplinary Qur’anic studies integrating humanities, social sciences, science, and technology
  • Qur’an and contemporary issues, such as ethics, education, society, and environment
  • Linguistic, literary, and discourse analysis of the Qur’an
  • Hermeneutical and methodological approaches in Qur’anic interpretation
